this is the day.....

I'm kinda happy and sad to be at work today.  Today was suppose to be my day off!!!  But all the supervisors had to go to Atlantic City so guess what asst. supervisor had to come in!!  You guessed it, yours truly.  I guess the only good thing about that is that I have no supervision!!!   I get to come in earlier and leave earlier and have tomorrow off.
Last night a brother in Christ of mine called me, Carlo, and we discussed a project that we both have in mind.  With God's blessings we want to start a Haitian American talk show on cable t.v. to address issues concerning the Haitian Christian community.  I'm excited at the prospects of how many lives we can change, influence, and bless.  I envision it being a blessing and educational.
I was so excited that I called my fiancee on my mom's phone last night even though I told him the day prior that we wouldn't talk on thurs. night.  I guess that why he had his phone off
I love my booboo.  Its so sad that he has to live so far away.  I can't wait till we can both be living on the same continent.
Next week is the time of reckoning brothers and sistahs, I'm starting the masters program in education-curriculum and instruction online at the University of Phoenix.  I'm so nervous.  Although I've taken 4 classes at the local community college over the past year or so I feel as though I haven't been in school in years!!!  Not to mention since this is online and I consider myself to be technologically impaired, I dunno how this is gonna turn out.  I just know that it was time for a change so I prayed about it and God opened up a door.  Thank you, Jesus!!
Now if I could only find another job.  I've been living on Careerbuilder and Idealist and haven't found anything that I'm qualified for.  I figured that since I'm about to get my masters in college administration that it would be great for me to find a job in a university but they all require masters or requirements/experience that I don't yet have.  *sigh*  Keep me in prayer, y'all.
I'm at a point that I need a change in pace.  My mom is steadily looking a new house in south jersey, about an hour away from where we are now and its making me nervous.  Not that I like living where where now but I'm used to the community and my surroundings.  And Lord knows that ifwe move to Trenton, Ewing, or Hamilton, I will not be traveling up to East Orange for work so I really hope I can find a job down there.  I;m not ready to move out, not at this critical time of saving for my wedding so I have to follow as God leads aka is leading my mom to go.

I did have a nice day though...i had the day off so i took my car for an oil change, then i did some shopping at Livingston mall...bought James 2 pairs of pants and I bought an outfit at Fashion To Figure (I LOVE THAT STORE!!!)...then i went all the way to west orange to Panera bread for lunch...(got lost in the detour...me and my greedy self)...then i took half of my lunch to a friend of mine that was at work...then i went to the supermarket...then CVS...then the beauty supply store...then the ice cream parlor...then home...over all, great day.

I went to a Sunday School teacher's meeting tonight...I don't know if I want to continue with my role as teacher's assistant...don't know if I want to still teach...I guess I'll pray on it, if I do well this summer then I'll take it as God telling me to continue...

well work tomorrow...i'm taking the clients to see Superman....

i went to the gym monday with a friend...its always better to go with someone in my opinion cause if you're me, you'd walk on the treadmill for 30 mins & do 30 crunches and call it a day.  So anywho, sistagirlfriend had to use this machine where u step up and u hold yourself up while bringing your knees to your stomach...GOOD LAWD, that hurt!!!.  Its so weird how on JUly the 4th i didn't feel sore...the following day and ever since my body has been ACHING...today i went back to the gym and when i went on the treadmill i felt a cramp in my left side....then when i went to do some crunches and it HURT so much...

I have to admit that the one i used on monday was good cause i've never  felt a difference (a muscle move) in my abs before but the pain sucks...i need to learn how to warm up and stretch...

There's this dude at the gym...we'll just call him vincent who's a personal trainer that tried to get me to sign up after my free personal trainer session...v. tried to convince me that spending $429 a month along with my monthly dues would be beneficial to me....this crackhead heard when i told me that I'm getting married, God willing, in dec. and i don't have money like that...so anyway, v. ran out the room, came back 5 mins later claiming he had a better deal for me...it went down to $400....these muscle bound ppl are on crack cause there ain't no way on God's green earth that i'm gonna pay $429 a month for a trainer....i guess i'm gonna have to suck it up and work out on my own around all the 'beautiful' ppl at bally's....

i'm having some issues with my fiancee, yall...keep a sista in prayer...

i need to take a shower since i just came back from the gym...

joy comes in the morning!!!!

Yesterday my friend Debbie got married!!!  I'm soooooooooooo happy for her.  It was such a great day.  I've been so tired though cause thurs. night we had her bridal shower then we were helping her with the seating chart for her reception, did n;t get to sleep till 1a.m.  Following morning I got up at 8a.m. to wash my hair, made breakfast for friends that came in from Florida for the wedding, then we headed to the mall to get one of them a dress.  (By the way, if you're 'plus' sized and live in New Jersey, check out Fashion To Figure cause they have GREAT clothes that aren't that expensive...check out their website ).  Anywho, after that we went to buy some chinese food (took a break from my diet...shhhh...don't tell nobody)...Then the bride to be had us doing sorts of running around for her to get her centerpieces, flowers etc....then i went to pick up my dress that i had made which still turned out to look like a hot mess (it looked like a nightgown, yall)...thank the LORD that my mom found a lavender dress for me to wear for the wedding (I was a princess along with another friend of mine).  I finally went to get my hair done at 10p.m....didn't get done till 2a.m...she braided it up, it was nice but it was/is tight...can't turn my head....lol...ouch...

Got up Sat. morning at 9a.m.....We were suppose to be at Debbie's house at 11a.m...didn't get there till 1:30p.m...the wedding was suppose to start at 1p.m but instead started at 2p.m....which wouldn't have been that bad if there wasn't another wedding at 3p.m. (Yes, my pastor forgot and scheduled TWO weddings on the SAME day)...*sigh*...Debbie was soooo beautiful...I've known Deb since I was 13 so to see her walk down the aisle made me wanna cry...I almost balled in the limo in front of her house so at the church I was fine...she had a big bridal party...8 junior bridesmaids/groomsmen...4 flower girls...2 ringbearers (girl and boy)...2 princesses...one matron of honor and one maid of honor...the colors were lavender and silver...everyone was BEAUTIFUL....

After the ceremony we went to take pics at a park...dunno where it was but it was hot as heck in that 90 degree weather....then off to elizabeth for the reception...we walked in, introduced of course...i was kinda nervous cause i was walking solo and i don't really like when all eyes are on me (better start to since my day is in december right?...lol)....we held up our bouquets as the couple walked thru...then they had their first dance...stole a kiss ....she was beautiful and he handsome...the guys wearing grey suits and lavender shirts...while the girls wore their lavender dresses...the matron/maid of honor wore silver dresses....BEAUTIFUL!!!!

The reception was soooo fun...after slipping into my slippers I was good....they had a live band...(big ups to Donnie and B2G band )...Kaitlin ripped it...Nelta at the church and Dorothy at the reception...they also had 2 praise dance groups perform while they called up the tables to eat which made it nice and u weren't bored or preoccupied with waiting for the food...then we DANCED to gospel music...did the electric slide...the chachacha dance...i had soooo much fun!!!...I pray that my wedding can be at least half as fun as Debbie and Carlo's wedding...

The reception was done at 9:30p.m....the cake was good...I didn't get a chance to take a pic with Debbie though   the cake was good....we came home, took a shower...and ate some soup...lol....we had company come thru...didn't go to bed till 1a.m...then had to wake up at 4:30a.m. to take folks to the airtport...*sigh*...slept for an hour when i came back then got ready for church....busy weekend...not looking forward to going back to work...but when am i ever?

I had a tiring but GREAT weekend.....I LOVE YOU Mr. & Mrs. Carlo and Deborah Jasmin...I hope yall are having fun in Cancun

Today service was nice...actually I didn't go to my church's service...instead i woke up at 7am, cooked rice and beans, baked turkey, and macaroni/imitation crab salad and made it church church at 9:45...the youth choir were invited to come minister at a Messianic Temple..(I think I misspelled that)...Beth Israel in Lodi, NJ...its a congregatuon of Jewish ppl that converted to Christianity...it was a blessing..a group of them are going to Haiti for missionary work July 25th...the minister preached Luke 12:23 (I think) about being like a lily and NOT worrying...

I've been worried about having the wedding in Haiti...cause of the lack of security...the kidnapping/violence...and the plane ticket to date is $800+....I wish I could say that after that message I've stopped but I'd be lying...I'm just trying to rest in HIS arms...I know that He that starteth a good work in me shall complete it...*sigh*

Tonight I went to a blessed concert/album release of Brother Bryant Barnett....its actually coming out on weds...If you're in the area of Irvington stop by Jesus Is Coming Church and give him your support of $13, you'll be blessed.

My sister Deborah is getting married this Sat...I'm in the wedding...we have rehearsal on monday...folks coming from Florida Thurs. moring that are staying at my house...thurs night is the bridal shower...friday i'm off from work...gonna be a blessed and BUSY week...pray me thru, y'all
